hi guys (any chicks here? :D ) i've asked before about 'fixing' the brakes on my 10r 04, i 've sold that one and bought 07 but the brakes are still no good. I know that ppl put GSXR front m cylinder onto the 10rs (i rode that one, excellent brakes). so i'm wondering which bike parts will fit mine. I had really good answers about buying the new sets etc, but don't want to spend so much... especially when they rip us off there :( thanks PD

Search ZX6 and ZX14 brakes...seems to be a popular thing to do...

forse1, how bout just the master cylinder, i'm planning to leave original callipers on the bike. And the braided lines? i guess you have bought it for the R1 model, will they fit into the 10r callipers? thanks mate

ZX6 master, but it isn't as good as brembo. Spend the little extra and get the brembo. I have a 2nd gen, had stck radial and although it was much improved over 1st gen they weren't that good. Brembo seems to be the way to go. I don't know if they'd ship that far, but sponsors here can get you good prices. The stock stuff isn't much improvement over aftermarket, unless you're using ZX14 brake calipers, which also seem to be popular. I run a Brembo radial with stainless lines, stock pads, works well for the street.

here is a pic of mine, it is hard to see but there is a spacer between the fork end and the caliper. it is gold. i have stock rotors but 20mm oversize rotors that are 330mm. i would get a better pic but it is monsoon rain right now

oh forgot to say the spacers came with the rotors, not homemade but don't look too hard to make

Same answer for the braided lines, i do not test it on stock calliper... i very like the result for the cost. all the kit cost me only 200$!!!

why not us a a spacer on the caliper bolts. i keep the stock zx 10 rotor. ZX10 have 300 mm and the r1 have 310 mm i do not need spacer on the bolts, i need to cut the caliper for the smaler rotor...
