Two questions, does anyone have opinions on BMC vs. K&N filters? Also, BMC which is what Im leaning towards has a standard and a race filter, whats the difference? Thanks

BMC, K&N has alot of oil on their seal which can foul fuel systems and o2 sensors

This was recently brought up. From my understanding the BMC are better filters. The race lets in more air which equals more dust/dirt so it's better for use where it's not very dusty like a track etc. There are plenty guys who use them on the track mostly but also a lot who use them on the road. The street version is very similar to the stock filter except it can be cleaned so if you want to save money in the long run buy that one and you can just clean it as opposed to having to keep buying new stock filters. I would think if you're putting a race filter on though you'll probably want to get a PCIII or similar and map it since it will be letting more air in although might not make too much of a difference. All in all I was told either go with the BMC race or stay with the stock filter...unless you're following the route of trying to save money then go with the BMC Street and you can clean it when needed. (Like ZX10RAgentBlack said do a search and you will find lots or results on this topic.)
