were they a limited number .?

Don't know the exact number or anything on the total number produced, but they weren't limited or numbered, at least not in the way you'd think about a "limited" production bike being numbered 1 of XXX. The latest model ('N' for the -7RR and 'P' for the -7R) was only produced in '96 though. '93 had an -RR but that was the older version with the single left side ram air inlet.

so in otherwords , they are just as exclusive as say a zx10 ?

IIRC, total prod number was something about 500-700.
