where are you guys mounting the speedo healers on the 06-07's? on their web site, it looks like the guy stick it above the headlight on the inside orsomething. i was kinda disappointed to find out that all that held the thing on was a piece of velcro...dont know how well that would hold up. the instructions pretty much suck. does not show or tell where to mount it or where it plugs in at. there is a pic of the 04-05's on their web page and it shows where it plugs at, but i thing the 2nd geneations are a lot different. want to get it mounted and hooked up so i can enjoy the headache of trying to program it all by itself. open to suggestions if anyone has done it on a 06. thanks in advance

I mounted mine underneath the seat. Which do you have? the plug n play or the universal harness, I have the universal here's the thread. http://zx-10r.net/forum/showthread.php?t=30111&highlight=06+speedohealer

it is the plug and play...dont know where the plug is located though...instructions dont tell. guess i could velcro it on top of my pc111 in the trunk if it will clear. hey, btw, another silly question...if i am -1 down in the front, i have been told my speedo is off by about 12%...so now do i program -12% or a +12%? thanks

http://zx-10r.net/forum/showthread.php?t=28241 thanks for the link. they make a plug and play unit now...from those pics, it looks like it plugs in down by the idle speed screw. i dont think you have to splice into the gray box, ground, or hook to the battery. anyway, i will see if the plug in works tonight. then the fun part of programming it using the piss-poor instructions. thanks

I've got the '06 plug and go. I had to push two pins out of each side of the grey connector. From the female end, the black/yellow and the blue/yellow. From the male end, the Black/yellow and the blue/yellow. Then, I put those in the connectors provided and attached together. Then I had to splice into a power supply. I ended up mounting mine under the driver's seat on the right side. If you find any better place, fill me in. I have my PCIII under the passenger seat. It's a pain in the ass to get to, but I couldn't find anywhere else. Also, It's a bitch to program (unless you work for NASA). And yes, I did go with '-12' on my bike which is running a -1 tooth on the front. Seems to be pretty damn accurate. If you want my instructions, I could try to scan them in and send them to you.

well, just did some checking on their web site and i was sent a "kawasaki II" harness instead of the "kawasaki III" harness. that prob explains my problem. well, hope to get this resolved soon and i will keep it posted how the install goes with the correct part. aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I used a plug-n-play version and mounted it in the trunk underneath the toolkit as shown in the link above. Works just great! FYI- The plug-n-play version still requires that the main harness connector be de-pinned and re-pinned into the plug-n-play connector supplied with the unit. It's a MUCH better way of doing this rather than cutting and splicing wires. It's fully reversible, but it is not just a "plug this thiny in here and you're done" type mod you're talking about.

Now I'm getting worried about mine which according to UPS comes today. Don't know when I'll do install...want to wait for some other mods on order to do everything at once. And I bought the 10.00 extension piece for the speedohealer...thing better come in handy.

hope you have better luck than me. the directions are like a wiring diagram but dont explain where the wires are even located. this looks like a ,od for someone with electrical experience...and i have none. guess i will have one up for sale soon. good luck

i have the plug and play on my 07. basically what the other already said. remove to pins on the grey connector and u gonna have to spice n for a power supply. mine is mounted b/w a bracket attached to the frame on the left side of the bike. its been awhile since i done it but i think u just need to remove the black plastic cover on the top. i gotta go look at the bike to see what im talking about.

well im at work right now so i could take it apart but if my memories serve me right its right there under that blk plastic cover. there only 3 bolts holding it in. one from the side and the other two on top.
