I'm thinking i already posted this not long ago but then again maybe not, O well here goes......
AFAM countershaft sprocket part # 28401 + # of teeth ( same as the 96-99 zx750r/rr)
AFAM rear sprocket part # 17610h + # of teeth (same as 98-02 zx6r)
I also believe they have 520 setups but i'm not sure of the part #'s.

I've been a proponent of 520 conversions on numerous bikes for a few years now but i'm not so sure i'll venture that way this time as the performance of this bike is a step above in terms of HP / Torque therefore even the 520 DID erv2 may fade a little quicker than in my past experiences.

i have a 03 suzuki 1000 and a zx10 and i havent had any problems with the 520 chains that i use , so i think you will be alright. i use a 520 ek x ring chain that has a 8400 tensile strength. that is more than alot of stock 530 chains. i also run one tooth less in the front and two teeth up in the back on both bikes. the only time i personally would go to a larger chain size was if i was extending the length of the wheelbase, because you could launch it alot harder and then it may have more of a chance in stretching it . this is just from my own personal experience and it is probably best to stick with what makes you feel comfortable.

Yeah the EK X-ring does have a higher tensile strength index than the DID erv2 so perhaps thats something i may try @ some point.

Anyone know the tensile strength of the stock chain?

I searched Kawi.coms website for the tensile strength of the OEM 525 but couldn't find it in the specs, but i did find this from DID's website.....
Tensile strength
525V=8,010
525VM=8,547
525ZVM=8,974 (original equip replacement on many bikes)
525ERV=8,270
and 520ERV2=8,250
