Hi guys, New to the site, and a Busa owner. :P I am seriously considering getting a Black one, and probably take it drag racing on occasion. Have any of you guys tried slamming and streching one? Is the aftermarket selling parts to do it. Clutch take abuse well? (Chatter, slipping etc.) Thanks for your comments in advance. By the way, Black is faster :D

I think that draging will not be the thing that it does best. I think it will be hard to launch compared to a 12R or Busa. Gary

you can use the 2002-04 zx 12r lowering links from schnitz racing. they are the same as the zx10r. for the front you can drop it through the trees and get the lowering strap brackets to strap it down. you can also use the billet adj. kickstand that fits the zx9r. this is what i have done to mine. you can also buy a longer chain and get about 1 and a half inch longer wheelbase out of it, because if you notice the wheel is pulled all the way in from the factory to achieve the short 54.5 wheelbase. you can also change the rear sprocket. it has the same bolt pattern as the 2002 zx6r. with these mods the bike seems to stay down well.

Beware, you have limited latitude to raising the fork tubes in the triple clamps on a 10r. The tubes are tapered very early, you may have .25 to .50 inch at best. JB

i lowered mine about an 1 1/4 inch because i stopped where it tapers at the bottom of the top tree instead of at the bottom of the clipons. the pinch bolts on the clipons still tighten up fine. i might be a little worried if the clipons didnt bolt to the bottom of the top tree.

Thanks for the information guys. I may have to wait for Muzzy to make some parts. :) I had the same problem with the tapered tubes on my Busa. I only went down 3/4" on the front, and added a strap. Slammed the rear tho. . I really think the 10R would look bitchin slammed. Anyone have pic's?
