fuse is easy, you can get the headlight, tail, brake, and directionals all at once.

I always did the fuse removal. Then a friend said it was much easier to unplug the headlights. I tried that. I am doing the fuse from now on. Thank You.

Fuse box is under the seat just behind the battery. I'm a "chicken shit" on track days. After finding out that the headlight assembly for my old 7R cost over $400... I remove the whole hedlight, tail light and turn signal assemblies and the put vinyl over all the openings. I even replace several parts of the bodywork with my "crashed" tank and bodywork.

If you rode as cautiously as I do, you wouldn't feel the need to remove the headlight assembly or put on those crash damaged parts. I remove the license plate braket assy, turn signals and rear view mirrors because it looks cool without it.

I pull the license plate / rear fender assy. Since I have euro front signals, they just get taped up. And yank the fuses, couldn't be easier. Just remember to put them back in! :)

If you rode as cautiously as I do, you wouldn't feel the need to remove the headlight assembly or put on those crash damaged parts. If I had any balls OR riding skills, I too could just tape them up. Since I already have "some minor damaged" parts just sitting around in my garage and am too broke to get race plastic, I just swap and hope for the best. So far... so good. No "additional" damages done AND no track records in jepordy.

hmmm, I always unplug the headlights. One fuse covers all the lights on the 10? Maybe I'll try that next time.

Some bikes have other things tied into the lights fuse. Not sure on the 10R. If not pull the fuse. If yes pull the harness off the bulb. Headlight and breaklight.

Don't let that joker on the green bike fool you...he doesn't ride 'that cautiously'. Almost released BTW Greg...probably officially on Sept 27th but I plan on doing some cautious riding sooner on my 'latest addition' 2000 Honda Varadero :) It's like a BMW 1150GS or a V Strom 1000 if your wondering...Euro only bike.
