IT's not legal here, but I've heard the local city guys (Plano, Frisco, etc...)look the other way. I've done it here, but only when I new I was in the clear. But then again, the traffic isn't nearly as bad here as it is in LA. I moved here from there - and I AINT goin back.

there is a rental company in North Texas that rents a few bikes for you to use, keep in mind you aint getting a 10, but they DO have FZ1's, Ninja 650's Z1000's, Honda Intercepters a few ducati's and other's for you to rent. Kinda pricy, but I figure I'd through it out there. Lane splitting is Illegal, but Most cops wont be able to catch you, and a few cities (Dallas being one) have ceased to chase motorcycles. That said watch out for State Troopers THEY WILL RAM YOU if you run! Hillcountry Route with Mileage from a Guy's GPS. This is a very nice route, well worth the trip, take notes of the miles, if your riding a hard pace and pass up to many gas stations you can run out of gas easy, and cell signal is not that great.

Getting set and ready to relocate to the DFW area myself. I am moving down from Michigan. I will be in town on the 29th..... I start work there on the 2nd of April.... I will be looking for some folks to ride with too. I am trying to secure an apartment in Arlington this week for move in on the 1st of April.

well...i'm to close on the house on Weds. I have nothing to do today so I think I'm going to price out some bikes @ the local kawi dealers. There is one in Arlington and I found one off the 20 and 30. I think its in the city of Lancaster? If anyone is local to me...and has a "IN" with a dealer, let me know.

I started this thread, Funny when I joined this forum my 04 was brand new and I lived in western NC, riding great roads. Changed jobs moved to HELL on the MX border for 5 1/2 yrs..........now since June I made it to the PNW:thefinger:thefinger Hot weather/straight roads. Sure is nice to have mountains and cool weather, nice roads again. Man I just got out of TX in time, record heat this year, loving this hot 75 degree weather.

Let's do this mang. Get a bunch of tens together.

We can all just meet in dallas. Eat there. Ride and leave. Or hit up a route. But let's link up.

Kinda a 'last run of the season' ride. :crackup: We do a yearly ride around Christmas-New Years to Queen Wilhelmina Lodge and back (Mena, AR-day ride). Rolled out at below 32* a few times. That's a "last ride of the year"! Usually followed soon after by the first ride on the New Year. "last ride" ...fair weather riders...:crackup: :cool:
