2004 ZX10R BRAND NEW NEVER RIDEN, 0 MILES, NEVER ON STREET, BLACK ZX10R. THE REASON I AM SELLING IS THAT I HAVE LOST MY JOB AND ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO HAVE THIS BIKE, AND THE DEALERSHIP THAT I BOUGHT IT AT WOULD NOT REFUND MY DEPOSIT SO EITHER I LOST FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS OR BUY THE BIKE WHICH REALLY WAS A HEART BREAKER BECAUSE IT TOOK ME THREE MONTHS TO FIND AND NOW I HAVE TO GIVE IT UP, THE ROOF OVER MY HEAD IS MORE IMPORTANT. THE BIKE IS BLACK WITH A 4 YEAR EXTENDED WARRENTY, IT JUST WANT TO GET WHAT I PAID FOR IT BACK MINUS TAX, WHICH BY THE WAY I WILL DISCUSS WITH THE POTENTIAL BUYER AT THE TIME OF SALE. FOR MORE INFO CALL JASON AT 908-963-2485: 10,800 TAKES IT! THANKS P.S. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE INTERESTED PLEASE LET ME KNOW :D

I would take the $500 loss on deposit. I think it will be hard to find a buyer unless someone is dead set on black. Most shops are discounting their inventory now due to the time of the year. Good luck, hope things work out. I have been left jobless before and it is NO fun.

It's not like there are a huge amount of zx10Rs available to dealers at the moment anyway. Also, there are no major changes from 04-05. You shouldn't have a problem selling it man.

I guess I am just looking at the local situation. I live in a somewhat small area and there are 3 sitting between 2 dealers locally. They have been there now for months. I know 2 months ago the one dealer would go for $10800 OTD and I am sure now it will be less. I would take the $500 loss on deposit. Question, why did you buy the 4 year extended warranty if you didn't really even want to buy the bike.....knowing that you would turn around and sell it imediately. Not trying to harrass you, just more curious.

IF YOU HAD READ THE WHOLE POST, YOU WOULD HAVE READ THAT I HAD LOST MY JOB AND WAS UNABLE TO BUY THE BIKE DO TO OTHER FINANCIAL OBLIGATIOS RE: CAR, APARTMENT, ETC. SO I TRIED TO GET MY DOWN PAYMENT BACK FIGUREING THEY WOULD TURN AROUND TOMARROW AND SELL THE BIKE, BUT THEY REFUSED SO INSTEAD OF DONATEING 500 BUCKS TO THE DEALERSHIP I FIGURED I WOULD TRY TO SELL IT RIGHT-A-WAY TO AVOID HAVING MONEY TROUBLES.

I understand that. But the question still remains as to why you also purchased the 4 year extended warranty. Just more money you had to come up with at the time of purchase.

That's a pretty Lame Ass F*&^ing dealer that won't give you back your deposit. Who is it?

Shit fellas, he made a mistake - can't get his deposit back AFTER he bought the bike...he's already in a sucky situation...let's just hope he can sell it. [smilie=3:

That's a pretty Lame Ass F*&^ing dealer that won't give you back your deposit. Who is it? Agreed. I switched dealers after making a deposit and having them jerk me around. I for damn sure was not going to let them keep my deposit...by that's just ornery me.

Tell the dealer to stuff the deposit and file a complaint with Kawasaki...tell them you want your money back...

If you made the deposit with a credit card, just call the card company, they'll get your money back for you. I've never heard of a non-refundable deposit from a dealer before. Private sale yes, but not a new bike purchase from a dealer. :-(
