Alright i want to see what peoples comments and thoughts are on the different tires for street and track. I am currently using bridgestone BT003 rs for the street on the ducati. and Dunlop Q2 for the zx10 on the street. I plan on running this next trackday on Bridgestones new track/race tire. I have had good luck with them and i like the stiffer feel of them they aren't as cushy. any thoughts?

I've got pilot powers on my 10 great straight line traction in dry weather, not the best wet weather tire. The only thing I don't like about them is when I get into a pretty good lean they feel "squishy". Not to say that they won't hold...they just don't feel right to me. On my zx7 I ran bt016's and a lot of people don't like them but I felt a lot more comfortable committing to a turn with those. But then again....different bikes run differently.

Im on the P.P. 2ct's and Im thinkin of goin to the BT-003 rs next. I really love the 2ct's but Im lookin for something just a tad stickier for the track. I would really recommend the 2ct's for the street though.

I've grown to swear by the Q2's. I was originally a PC III man but just experimenting, I tried the Q2's and was hooked. The same performance and almost 100 dollars cheaper!? Sign me up damnit. I have been wanting to try the Conti RaceAttack DOT's or the Metzler M5's but have'nt needed tires yet. I know The Dunlops are hard to beat as long as you get them to operating temp. Truth be told, it's all about preference. With the technology being used these days in tire construction, it's hard to out ride ANY of these tires on the street or track. It's all about a preference of feel and in some cases even mental barriers. Aggressive profile, neutral profile, proper pressures being run, getting to optimal operating temp, suspension set-up, if you're comfortable with the bike movin around under you, yada yada yada. I say try'em and give us some feedback. .02:occasion1

I really liked the BT003RS's at the track. I can't decide between the bt003's or pirelli diablos

Went through 12 sets of tyres: 4 sets of Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa (http://www.pirelli.com/tyre/gb/en/motorcycle/sheet/diablo_rosso_corsa.html), rest Dunlop SportsSmart (http://www.dunlop.eu/dunlop_euen/mc/tyres/on_road/Sportmax_SportSmart.jsp)s, both on the track and canyons/twisties. The DSS (http://www.dunlop.eu/dunlop_euen/mc/tyres/on_road/Sportmax_SportSmart.jsp)s are amazing tyres, better value, excellent in the wet, longer lifespan and to me just as grippy as the DRCs. A.

I just put BT003rs's on my 04 ZX10, I have only put about 300 miles on them so fare, but they do seam stiffer than the Pilot Pures I just took off. I did not like the Pilot Pures, I liked the 2ct's better, but both did seam to squirm around a little, I got no feel out of the Pilot Pures even though they never did anything scary on the street. With the BT003rs's I did back off my rear preload, 4 turnes on my Ohlins hydrolic preload adjuster which gave me a little more feel in the rear. I am still playing with pressures, right now I am using 34F / 36R with out side temperatures about 55 degrees.
