I have theses tires, and do not like the way they feel when cornering . It feels like it is sliding from underneath me. Does anyone elses have similar issues. :dontknow: and what are some good sticky street use tires.

What pressure you running? +1 these tires are really finicky about the psi they're run at.

I dont mean to sounds like an ass and bring up technicalities of words, but which tire is this exactly? Pilot Power 2CT or Power Pure 2CT? Just curious cuz I have a Pilot Power 2CT for my front right now and havent noticed anything like this, but Ive never run a Pure to know

What pressure you running? AS stated on the tires +/- 1-2 PSI

AS stated on the tires +/- 1-2 PSI The tires say 42 psi which is a bit much. I'm running 34f 36r for the street and they feel good on the track people are saying 31/32 works the best.

Yes the pressures cyclepuck are stating are pretty much what Michelin recommends. I think the 31/32 is a little low for the track as the tires tend to flex more than the regular 2CT. I prefer to run the regular Power 2CTs myself.

I replaced my Pures with Dunlop Q2s for that reason. They never did anything wrong, but they never felt right to me either. Played with the pressures a lot from 32-38 psi and the higher pressures felt better. But after 1000 miles on them I couldn't stand it. Went Q2 and never regretted it.

I ran Pilot Powers on my Gen 1's and was very happy, now with Pures on my Gen 3 I'm not at all that happy...I feel like I cant commit like I could with the Powers...I even think the oe BT016R's felt better to me... ...what to do...Pilot Powers, Q2 or BT003?

Actually i just checked my tires. I have pilot road 2ct. I'm not sure what your tires say, but the recommended pressures in the manual are based on 2 up street riding which are typically 36/42. You should run a lower rear pressure if you're not carrying a passenger, probably something like 38.

Im running the Q2's for the first time with about 200 miles on them and so far im excited. I can't wait for the weather to warm up to really see what they are capable of I ran Pilot Powers on my Gen 1's and was very happy, now with Pures on my Gen 3 I'm not at all that happy...I feel like I cant commit like I could with the Powers...I even think the oe BT016R's felt better to me... ...what to do...Pilot Powers, Q2 or BT003? What is everyone runnin their Q2's at? It was recommended by the NESBA Dunlop Rep. to run 34/32 street and 32/30 track. I keep seein higher numbers in this thread AND higher rear tire pressures. Someone hit me with some feedback cause I'm confused.

I'm on my second set of Pilot Power Pures, The carcass is so thin that it cools off quick. I tried F/34R to no success too harsh of a ride. I finally settled at 30 psi in the rear and 31/32 psi for the front. I run my bike on the street/canyon, works nicely for me on local roads like mines rd and redwood road. These tires are very different than the standard CT, I ran 34F/34R (PSI) on the Pilot power 2ct. Please call a Michelin tire rep and they will be able to confirm this for you, if my squid status bothers anyone. I have be extremely happy with both sets, even more confidence than the PP2CT.

I just got a new set of pilot pure tires put on today, I'm pretty damn excited to go try them out tomorrow. I'd be excited anyway just because I'm gonna be riding all day but you guys know what I mean. I'll be sure to post up my thoughts on them tomorrow evening when I get back. Not a track or anything but LOTS of twisties.

I'm still running the old school regular pilot powers, 34f 32r on the street, still feel great as they always have...

I use these tyres on my Gen3. For the road Front: 2.25bar (33psi) Cold - this heats up to 2.35bar (34psi) with average/sporty riding. Rear: 2.60bar (38psi) Cold - this heats up to 2.80bar (41psi) with average/sporty riding On the track Front: 2.10bar (30psi) Cold - heated up to 2.40bar (35psi) Rear: 2.15bar (31psi) Cold - heated up to 2.60bar (38psi) (This was measured after about 15min of riding) I've been using these tyres for about 2400km (1500miles), done about 4 trackdays on them, 600km (375miles), and the rest was average to sporty street riding, and they show very little wear.

Well, my impressions after riding in a "spirited" manner are that I now need a steering damper....and upon inspection by the shop, I also have fork seals that are shot. The bike felt twitchy as Hell all day and I had to really dial it down just to be stable in corners. So I guess until I have that other stuff dealt with I won't really know how good the tires are. Fml, my wife was pissed enough about the tires, she's really gonna blow a gasket when I tell her what's next.

been running these 2cts (nonpure) 32front 34 rear cold. works great, put on the extensions and still handle well (chicken strips are 1/2" or less) with extensions, 1/4" at SWB. I recommend these tires for the street great in the rain (responsible driving) love them, just not ment for extensions ;)

On my 12' ZX-10R i run Dunlop Q2's at 32F/34R and with a passenger who weighs a 100 lbs 34F/36R. For a comparison on my 08' CBR1000 i run power pure 2ct's at 32F/34R, and 34F/38R with the same passenger.

those are decent tires when you have proper psi in them however, q2's are where it's at for top of the line street tires

I run with the Pilot 2's as well. Never had that problem before. I like them. But their not the Pures either. To be honest, I went with the Michellins after 3 sets Pirellis. My next set will be Pirellis Corso's again!

I run the pures 32/32 cold street and track. They grip but lack a lot of feedback. When you are sliding though they have a lot of feedback. I have converted to dot race street version tires.
