As some of you know I was in the group buy for the Arata but had to back out because my wife bought me a TiForce Full system for my bike. Well, I installed it and had it mapped today and I am very impressed with it. Arata is a great product, prolly the best built exhaust systems available but after examining this TiForce sytem I think it is easily on par with Arata. The welds are great and the tubes look outstanding. This exhaust screams quality. Anyway, on to the good stuff. I My bike Dynoed stock at 149.8HP with around 1100 miles on the clock. I installed a TiForce full Ti system and a PC3USB and had it dyno tuned today. The results were mighty satisfying to say the least. We tried to use the TiForce map listed on the Power Commander site and it gave us 153.4hp. I wasn't satisfied with that so I decided to have it custom mapped. After 5 hours of mapping we reached a peak HP of 163.2hp and 78.6 ft lbs of torque. The graphs looked great with no dips anywhere, nice and flat, and the torque curve was great even with out using the "cone" that comes with the system. The dyno operator was extremely happy with it as well. It took so long due to the high temps in the dyno room, 88 degrees and very humid. We would start mapping and the bike would exceed the suggested temperature parameters. We would have to stop and let the bike cool down before continuing. Overall, I am very happy with the exhaust and results achieved on the dyno.

 How much did 5 hrs. of tuning cost you?

Well, just because it took 5 hours doesn't mean he tuned for 5 straight hours. I have known him for a while and only charged me $248.00 total. Not too bad considering the work he put in.

The exhaust system cost my wife around $1220.00 shipped. As for the map, once my tuner sends me a copy of it, if anyone with a TiForce system is interested just let me know. It may not be ideal for you and your bike but it may be better for you than the one on the PC website.

After seeing a stock 1000RR dyno at a whoppin 129HP followed by a 929, stock, pulling a massive 122HP on the same dyno, I think mine already rips.

It would be interesting to see how much HP could be gained by dyno tuning a stock bike (using the PCIII).

Why was this moved to the tech section? It has no technical relevance it is simply a review of an exhaust system.

Well now that it is moved back that last post makes me look foolish. What else is new right. Anyway, here are some pics if your interested. http://www.sportbikes.com/UBBimages2/746119-7.JPG http://www.sportbikes.com/UBBimages2/746121-ZX-1.JPG http://www.sportbikes.com/UBBimages2/746126-ZX-4.JPG

Have you heard anything about the Akro.

if you really want to be a nice guy, you can upload your map to the Power Commander website. either way, i'll be interested in that map, as i'll be picking up a Ti Force and PCIII Usb very soon (had the Ti Force on my 03' Gix750 and it sounded awesome! can't wait to hear it on the 10r!!!)

Thanks for the compliments on the tag fellas. It seems to bring out the worst in the gixxer owners(especially since they can do nothing about it http://www.zx-10r.net/forum/images/smilies/smilies/laughing.gif (http://www.zx-10r.net/forum/images/smilies/smilies/laughing.gif) ). Dogbone, the only reason that I don't upload it onto the PC website is that it is common for unscrupulous dyno operators to use a map they got from the site, tweak it a little, and then claim to the customer that it is a "custom" map. That said, I am more than happy to send a copy to any 10R owner out there that wants it. Simply IM me with your email address and I will get it to ya(free of charge no less http://www.zx-10r.net/forum/images/smilies/smilies/thumbsup.gif (http://www.zx-10r.net/forum/images/smilies/smilies/thumbsup.gif) ). Hey madav8tr, do you know what the target A/F ratio your tuner aimed at. I'm thinking I f'ed up and let my guy tune my bike for good milage. I should have told him max hp. My ratio target is 13.2:1 to midrange, and 13:1 from midrange to redline. I know RC51s are mapped at 12.6:1 for max power with race pipes. I've also heard of a racing team going as rich as 12:1 with the ZX10R. Cars generally make max hp at 12.5:1. I'm thinking I'll go with something between 12.5:1 to 12.8:1. Just trying to get the best target for the ZX10R without wasting time.
