Hello fellow riders, I have the opportunity to get my hands on a full titanium Akrapovich system for a very fair price... but there is a dent on the bottom of the header. Will this dent hinder performance, and if so can it be pulled out or fixed easily? Also, with a proper tune, how much real hp is this pipe good for, if any? Also, is there anyone here in the West Palm Beach area that could hook me up on shortening the muffler? Thanks in advance!

It will affect performance. I dont think you will notice it though. It wouldnt be easy to fix, but you can take to an exhaust shop and see what they can do. You should gain something between 5 and 10 hp?? Idk, i never dynoed my bike before and after to know the difference. ps. i think that system is stainless steel not Ti, could be wrong though.

It changes the flow characteristics of the header.

Doesn't look ti to me. The dent will affect probably in a negative way but it wouldn't be much of a loss. If anything it would be a small dip somewhere in the mid range. It would also probably help produce a tiny bit more torque.

If it's Stainless Steel version I have Akra headers that will be going on sale soon. Also, I have a cut Can has no packing so I am sure it's loud never installed on my bike though. bloo

I was asking about your headers, because I just wasnt sure if yours were SS or TI, and would have been interested in buying them from you. I think I was the one who was unclear. Good lookin out though.

I've seen a lot worse with no effect. Granted, on a different bike but I can't believe the 10 is any different. I've rolled them back out with a torch and a socket on the end of an extension. A couple passes later I flattened them again and just left it.
