any of you guys run your bikes with out the thermostat ?
Im thinking of wiring a manual cooling fan switch up but I i only ride during the
summer so was thinking taking the thermostat out would help it run cooler.
Thanks

If you take the thermostat out, the coolant will flow to fast and not have the proper amount of cooling time and make the bike run hot.
It is there for a purpose.
If getting hot is the problem, install a secondary fan on a manual switch and swap from anti freeze to engine ice. It will run cooler with that in it.

Good point.
Im going to change the coolant over the winter and the hoses for samco ones.
Im wiring in a manual fan switch tomorrow while i have the tanks off doing the kleen air mod, flies out, piper x filter, and 1/5 throttle insert.
thanks glenn
