My battery just went out... What are my options..? Should i go with one of the lighter battery's i seen some kid on this website making? My local motorcycle shop wants 85 bucks for the battery i think thats to mush for a OEM battery.

I got a Shorai from Superbike Supply (PM Lexusrx) and have been very very happy with it.

Shorai is first on MY list, then the Ballistic from ridersDiscount. The Ballistic is really light. Just not as cool as the Shorai. I would STAY AWAY from those home made batteries. Somebody posted up a pic of an exploded one in their bike last year. Stick with a reputable manufacturer. Might as well go lighter, now is the time since you need a battery anyways.

I'd dish out a bit of extra cash and go for the Shorai if I were you. They are one exceptional battery and their customer service from my experience was very pleasent.

They , Shorai, says it doesn't need charging. But every winter my bike sits nearly 5 months. I would have to get the Shorai charger which plugs into the port on the battery and charges each individual cell equally. The damn charger is almost the cost of the battery. I will have to search ebay for a deal on their special charger. Thanks again.

The reason we recommend Ballistic is because they are made in the USA (Wisconsin) and are an overall better product. Chip over at Ballistic handles any warranty issues and they offer a 3 year warranty compared to two years with other brands.

Don't hold me to it but I think you can buy a normal battery charger that has the option to charge those..which reminds me I should look in one myself.. OP as I said I didn't pay retail or even close to it which is why I got it..It was the only one I could think of when I posted thelink..My belly was full of donair(almost like a gyro in usa)and cold beerskis..I was feelin to good to think lol..
