Hola El familia Kawasaki Well I have not really been having any luck with my searches, last year I used to buy from sportbiketrackgear and sportbiketracktime their power race specials but sbtt bumped their prices up I believe and trackgear has ran out also. The only tires I have really ran on the track have been Michelin power race (since switching off street tires) but I do like deals on tires going to the track so often, but at the same time I do not want to skimp on quality in the slightest. So I was wondering, does any one know of any specials on race tires this season? Might try another brand if reviews are good. Figured I would ask the kawi family, you know, to keep the good stuff to ourselves.

Their selection is starting to shrink, and be advised, the tires aren't the freshest. I've ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Classics and some Power Races.. All were at least a couple of years old. Not a huge concern, as the rubber seemed pliable and without bluing (indicating decent storage maintenance facilities).

I work at a BMW motorcycle dealership in Atlanta and all of the dealer prices on tires, particularly Michelins, have increased by around 10%. I believe that the prices of materials have sky rocketed over the past couple of months. You should still be able to find a good deal online though, although it might not be as good as it was in the past.

The Bridgestone R10 is a flat out D.O.T. race tire. I just podiumed 3 classes at the Miller WERA National with them. $390 installed at the track. You can also get the excellent 003 PRO D.O.T. for $315 installed at the track. There is no better value than the Stones right now. Those Michelins are old.

I was on Ntek's and I still run them depending on contingency, but I have been able to match my personal best lap times with the R10's. Geometry wise, they are the same as the Dunlops but you will need to stiffen the suspension settings slightly for the Bridgestones. Bump compliance is way better with the stones also. B Stone $390 vs Dunlop $550......I run the R10 as much as possible.

We used to have a bridgestone guy but I don't think hes been out at the track this year so do you know of any online websites to look for them? I tried looking them up but could not find the new r10's. I did however find a pdf file about them though lol.

Do the R10's last as long as the Ntec? I'm running the dunlops pretty much religiously, and so are my friends due to the fact that they continue to grip right until the cords show if you care to push them that far.

The front does, but the rear does not, at least on a 1000. The R10 still has grip until the sipes are almost gone, past the wear bar. They also heat cycle like the Dunlops. The wear is better than a Pirelli but not as good as the Dunny. Right in the middle. Then again, an R10 rear doesn't cost $325 either.

Interesting. I might have a set thrown on the 10 to see how they do, and throw my slightly worn NTecs on after I wear them out. I figure the hard is the better rear due to the heat down here in socal.
