glockt 06-06-2011, 05:51 PM With the Indy Moto GP coming around,we need to start the tire a rollin' and work on a Meet & Greet!
Here is last years meet and greet, theres several members from the site who couldn't be bothered by meeting for the picture.so the group was a bit larger than us here.

gomer 07-12-2011, 07:04 PM Haha Nice picture glock
or10r 07-13-2011, 04:12 AM Im in for a meet up. As long as some of the locals can help a stranger without a GPS find his way around. After two visits the city is much more familiar but I still got alot to learn.
ecsiders 07-13-2011, 08:13 AM You can count me in... How does the parade lap work? Do you need to wear full leathers? I'm bringing my bike in my truck so I can cruise around town with the wife and fit in a little better... My first GP race so I'm really stoked to see everything. Keep us informed where the meet will be.
glockt 07-13-2011, 06:53 PM The parade lap works as such;
if you buy into a pkg deal that offers a parade lap wrist band,or sticker displayed to show parade lap priviledges.varies from year to year.
you show the gate attendent or ticket taker your band and they direct you to the lap staging area.
After you sign the release and your bike checks out for loose parts or leaking stuff they stage you in groups 10-15 riders.
helemet,shoes is the only requirement.
your group stages up,the group leader a IMS rider starts off then they allow the pack to take off,no one rides faster than the lead IMS rider and the last rider is another IMS rider,to make sure no one lags behind and gives those sudden bursts of throttle and wheelies it also.
Theres plenty of gaps to give the burst if you get seperation from the lead riders.
usually the the first 3-4 riders are the GP wannabe riders who race to the finish trying to be the first across the line.but its a short lived race because you dont pass the lead IMS rider.
ecsiders 07-19-2011, 01:08 PM Thanks for the info glockt. I look forward to the parade lap although I'm not a racer, I just want to feel the track and get some good lean on the corners... Keep us informed as to where the meet and greet will be. :bump:
ecsiders 07-20-2011, 10:22 AM For all you who have been to the GP in past years, is the Southwest Vista a good location to sit and is it really packed to where you can't move around to different locations in the grandstands? I'll be there all three days and assume Friday isn't too busy but want to make sure I have good seats. I think I'm in row KK in the southwest vista??? Looking at the website I'm a ways from the track. Any comments would be appreciated.
ecsiders 07-20-2011, 10:26 AM This will be my first GP race and really looking forward to it. My wife bought me the package including the parade lap... Is it worth taking the lap? I'm not a track rider or anything... Just curious.
glockt 07-20-2011, 06:47 PM Yes it's worth riding the bike for 1 lap of the track.
You ride it at your pace, from 10-15mph lap to 65-70mph lap.
It just depends how you space out the group of riders your grouped with.
They put down new asphalt in all the spots the racers complained about,so now the track is only 2 different types of surfaces, opposed to 4 last year.
It still has the dips, but it's a nice track.
Besides overnight storage of your bike,I'd definetly bring a bike in for the parade lap.
glockt 07-20-2011, 06:56 PM The 1st year they offered it,it was scheduled the Monday after the actual race on Sunday. And you had to schedule your time slot for your 1 lap around the track.Needless to say I didnt take a day off work to ride the ZX around the track,so that was how they did it.
The 2nd year they had us sign the release, get partioned off into a group and then we rode the lap, while the pit walk about was going on.That was friday morning for about 2 hours.
I havent seen how the schedule is for this years lap, ecsiders if you have your band does it say a date specific?
I'm getting ready to order a pkg from site sponsor RidersDiscount.
ecsiders 07-21-2011, 02:40 PM They are mailing the packets out early August I was told. When I get it I will post more information about the parade lap and any other information they send in the packet. What is the best location for seats? I have 2 seats in the Southwest Vista. I assume it shouldn't be too bad coming off the front straight and dipping into the turns...
glockt 07-21-2011, 07:14 PM I sat in the same section the first year (southwest vista). The rain year, alot of action in those turns,I seen alot of front end wash outs thru there in the preliminary races.
Bring your best camera and a good zoom lens for the action shots.
Last year I sat in the Paddock along the main straight, under shade,at the start finish line.I have the shot the local paper printed from a the ground angle where Jay Leno waves the checkered flag. The news paper camera man is actually in my shot.
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u102/glocktZX10/SundayMotoGPraceday405.jpg
I ordered the same Paddock seats for this year.Go on friday walk the track grounds veiw the action from the infield alot of good photo ops everywhere around the track.
I walk abit shoot pictures from everywhere and sit down for the main event from the Paddock.
ecsiders 07-22-2011, 08:27 AM Great picture and thanks for the insight. I will bring my good camera and biggest lens. I look forward to the race and meeting everyone if it works out. Thanks again.
08zx10rny 07-27-2011, 09:58 AM i was at turn 10 in the Parts Unlimited tent. alot of decent action there. camera wasnt the best but got some good pics. also got to do the Motul pit tour of Tech 3 Yamaha (Spies bikes) and Rizla Suzuki (Bautista bike) pretty sweet.
ecsiders 07-29-2011, 04:29 PM Nice pics... I hope Spies wins this race. He's in need of some major points. I just want an American up there more towards the front. I really could care less if it's Spies, Hayden, or Edwards. I wish Kawasaki would have put a team in there to compete. I can't wait to go. :occasion1
LouisZX10R 08-02-2011, 12:49 AM Yeah it'll be another great weekend at the speedway
Can't wait... I may have a garage spot free if somebody needs to park their bike but I"m about 20 min from the track, could also offer a spot on my couch to crash for the night, also can ride with some of you guys around a bit and show you some good roads south in Brown county and beyond
If interested shoot me PM

I might be interested in taking you up on a ride around the area. I'll have my bike and wife but she's all about riding on the back carving around corners. Not sure if I'm coming in Thursday night or Friday morning yet. 4.5 hour drive so we'll see. Can't wait for the race and all the action.

ecsiders 08-04-2011, 08:44 AM Just received a call yesterday from Indianapoilis. The parade lap will be Friday night for anyone purchasing a package including this like myself. The tickets are in the mail and I will have more information when I receive the packet. I will keep everyone informed. Anyone else doing the parade lap?
glockt 08-04-2011, 09:17 PM I talked to someone from the office about a week ago also.
They confirmed my order and told me the same about the parade lap.
I am looking forward to it also,again..
My seats are up in the paddock right by the start finish line, but I will be walking all around the track all 3 days shooting pictures of this and that.
ecsiders 08-05-2011, 11:04 AM My seats are in the south vista but with general admision Friday and Saturday I will be doing the same (walking all around shooting pictures). Is there a designated time and place for the meet and greet? Also, can anyone tell me a good hotel close to the area that has availability? Need to find a place to crash with the wife. I looked up the area online but nothing stands out to me. Thanks
or10r 08-05-2011, 12:54 PM I have general admission but Ill be walking around all three days. I stayed here the first year, it was great. http://indianapolisairport.place.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/place/reservations.jsp;jsessionid=1EA29708B532E07DBACC6CD0CAA821F3.atg03-prd-atg2

So if anybody here has any interest in meeting up before race day and/or at the race, I would like to know by next Sunday so I can plan a little ride or we can go and have some meet and great and/or chow with other Kawi people from the area.
My GF is also planning on meeting with a bunch of female riders and we can also get with them if you wanna meet some ladies?

well... bikes on Meridian... lots of pretty bikes, but too many drunks for my taste, just too crowded for me... but I will be at the track just like last year, maybe we should set the meeting time at the track earlier so everybody has enough time to find their seats to watch the race

ecsiders 08-16-2011, 05:17 PM Keep me posted on where to meet up and I'll be there with my wife. My first trip to the track so I will get there early and familiarize myself with the area. Anyone else doing the parade lap? I received my tickets yesterday (30 mph... really???). I can understand the safety issue though so I just want to do a lap on the track. See you all there!!!
glockt 08-16-2011, 07:16 PM ecsiders,I just recieved my notice that they just mailed off my packet.
so what day is the Parade Lap and at what time?
he,he,Good Luck in keeping it under 30mph.
like I said let the pack take off,get by yourself and GUN IT!
theres a lead IMS rider in front, and a follow up rider in back bringing up all the stragglers..
each lap session last year lasted about 10minutes each, and they ran lap sessions for a good 3 hours.

Friday night at 7:00 is what my ticket says. I'm not sure if that is when they start the parade laps or what. It lists two dates also. Friday and the following Monday... I guess if you wanted to stay after all the races and do a lap Monday you can elect for that... Can't wait! :zx_green:
glockt 08-17-2011, 06:57 PM ecsiders,I recieved mine today and friday parade lap is between 7:00 to 8:00pm.
tickets are the Paddock, box-13, row-A, seat-12

glockt 08-24-2011, 07:19 PM http://www.idesmo.org/files/2011-GP-Schedule.pdf
scroll down to sunday;
125 race at 11:00 that leads into moto gp2 at 12:15.
I really dont care for the 125 race myself, but thats where the action is sometimes.
This is still open for discussion,I say between those 2 races meet behind the Pagoda and we'll shoot pictures from the track.
Maybe 11:30ish....
Or an hour before the main Moto GP at 2:00.The place aint that big,and if you aint found your seat by noon sunday, thats on you.
Like I say it's open, and if no one wants to help plan it,then I'll tell you guys where I plan to be with camera at 1:00...
Who's next?...
ecsiders 08-25-2011, 02:20 PM I don't care to watch the 125's either but this is my first race so I would like to see the wrecks if that's where the action is. I will plan to be behind the Pagoda at 11:30 or 1:00 id doesn't matter to me. I'm there all weekend arriving tomorrow around noonish or a little after. I would like to ride with everyone but my 10 decided to start blowing smoke so I'll be on a 6R loaner from a friend. I really wanted to do my parade lap on my own bike also but will be doing that on the loaner also just to say I did it... :ot: I'm up to meet whenever...

glockt 08-25-2011, 08:55 PM Cool,
I'll get on general discussions and find that Indy Moto GP roll call and post that the meeting time will be sunday behind the pagoda where the IMS logo is on it (infield) and post the time from 11:30 to 11:45 then we will go from there.
I'm wearing my lime green Casio G-shock watch carrying camera and the tripod, and if Donkey makes it in he'll be in the picture also..
LouisZX10R 08-26-2011, 06:42 AM yeah it'll be nice to see donkey again...
ecsiders 08-29-2011, 01:33 PM I missed out on the pic because of !@#$ing parking. I got into the track around noon after driving around for an hour and paying $10 for parking. The cops wouldn't let anyone into the track unless they had a Ducati pass. I was wearing my Kawasaki green shirt, looked down at it, and asked the cop why in the hell would I have a Ducati pass?!?!?! I can't stand the sound of the clutch on those bikes... :ot: Anyway, sorry for missing the photo op. Hope everyone had as much fun as I did and I will be back next year. Lets hope Kawasaki gets back into Moto GP.
glockt 08-29-2011, 04:26 PM we hung around till about 11:55 then took the group picture and went our seperate ways.

I was just reading this yesterday and thinking the same. Already purchased my tickets and looking to book a hotel soon. I want to stay closer to downtown this year so looking at Hyatt or Embassy Suites. Don't really want to spend that much but want a nice place. Can't wait for the races!! :zx_green:
URBAN LEGEND 05-30-2012, 08:58 AM Ill be at Indy and Laguna seca. If you haven't made hotel reservations you are behind the power curve. I made mine a few months ago and most hotels were full already. Had to book for the Indy airport hotel.
LouisZX10R 05-30-2012, 06:19 PM well gentleman lets meet up again for a photo shoot like last year and lets hope donkey can be there too
Only thing is... I want to see Moto2 and MotoGP races, so it'll be tricky with the timing for this, probably would be best earlier before all the action begins

Come get me. I'll be hanging out with the Goat. Yes, that's Rossi.
ecsiders 05-31-2012, 12:54 PM I missed out on the pic also because of parking on Sunday... What if we meet up Friday before all the action kicks off? I would love to ride with some locals that know the area. I'll be bringing my wife and friend on his new Gen 4. We have a lot of others that are coming down also so it should be a blast. I blew my motor on my 05 last year just prior to the race so I borrowed my buddies ZX6R. It wasn't as fun but still got in the parade lap around the track. I'm ready and geeked for this year with my new 08. Bought it with 1,500 miles on it and breaking it in now. :zx_green:

Yep, good idea we should meet beforehand and make out a time to ride in together, I still don't know how they organize parking this year, but some little birdy from IMS told me a little while ago they'll have the bikes parking on the backstraight again as the years before since last year was a disaster.
we'll see if that's gonna happen... :dontknow:

rayzzr 06-18-2012, 11:09 PM GSP and I plan to be there
Capncalyx 06-20-2012, 12:12 PM Ill be there again. I live near the track and although i cant host anybody at the house id be more than happy to help with a ride or directions, hell anything, know this city pretty well and will be there for bikes on Meridian as well as at the track all 3 days. Doing the parade lap too. We've had a drought all summer so hopefully itll be good weather for the race.

ecsiders 07-06-2012, 03:18 PM CAN'T WAIT!!! :zx_green:
ecsiders 07-10-2012, 10:25 AM I'll be there Friday morning... Any locals organizing a ride for the day?
LouisZX10R 07-10-2012, 06:38 PM I can lead a little group south a bit for a little while, but don't want to miss too much action at the track either, maybe 3-4 hours in the morning, that'll make it a nice ride in the hills and back
ecsiders 07-11-2012, 08:16 AM There's hills down there??? If it includes some twisties I'm in!!! Just keep me informed as to what time everyone's meeting up and I'll plan my drive time accordingly. It's a 4+ hour drive for me from Michigan so I'll be ready and willing to get on the bike and go (trailering the bike down of course). :zx_green:
Capncalyx 07-11-2012, 08:49 AM We have some really fun roads but the ones im familiar with are much farther south of Indy around Nashville. Good riding down there. Some roads will make ya go :eyecrazy:. As much as id like to show some people some cool roads around here ill probably be whoring around the track all weekend and around the circle. So much eye candy around the circle at night you could break yer neck.:helmet: Its almost here!!!

Yep we have it all, takes about 30 min from downtown to start with some easy curves then further down is where the fun begins. There are many options if one knows its way around in the woods down there.

YSR50 07-18-2012, 03:41 PM Might make it down for Sunday. Been going for the entire weekend but we held off on getting a room until it was too late. F'n basement dwellers (http://www.gencon.com/2012/indy/default.aspx) will be there at the same time this year and took all the good hotels.
ecsiders 07-18-2012, 04:08 PM Seats are in section H so I'm hoping to catch some good racing off the corners going onto the straight away. All seats are good there but might try getting into the pits next year somehow...

We usually meet behind the pagoda on Sunday before the races

LouisZX10R 07-20-2012, 08:21 PM Mine should be in the mail today... You all can do the lap, have fun and enjoy it... to me it's not worth the extra $20 with all the restrictions and all the required extras tied in to make more money. I'd rather spend the saved money to buy "Stuff" for the bike or myself to take home
silver12r 07-20-2012, 09:03 PM If anyone wants to camp out and have about a 40 min ride to the track I have a huge yard for tents and a big barn for bikes. Pool and showers access if anyone is interested let me know and we can work something out
glockt 07-21-2012, 09:55 AM my $80.00 ticket which included friday, saturday and race day seat was in the Paddock under a roof protection from the sun at the start finish line which also included the one lap test lap, went from $80.00 to $115.00 and thats with some kinda 50% off discount on friday and saturdays admission and a discounted test/practice lap.I say Bull Shit.
I understand the need to turn a profit, but to jack up the cost with other intangibles,$20.00 for a single lap,no freaking Thank you!
I'll be out there all 3 days again just saving alot of money this year...
Capncalyx 07-23-2012, 09:49 AM The track pass was only $10 when i ordered so i said what the hell. I ordered way in advance though. Cant remember what my tickets cost cause i havent opened the envelope yet. Glock are you saying they jacked the price up from last year? That doesnt sound like it would be too smart cause not many people attend the race to begin with.

I wish I would have known this a month ago... I have a 30' camper that I would have stayed in and brought a few more friends down but the camping at the track is garbage (no water and limited electric). Maybe next year...

I think I paid just over $100 per ticket included is parking at the museum for two, the hot lap Friday night for two, and passes for all three days. It is getting pricey. They're trying to make their money before the GP goes to Texas than we're all screwed. I'll probably still make the trip the first year or two to check out the new race track. Sounds like it will be nice.
glockt 07-23-2012, 07:59 PM Last years package deal was $80.00 this year the want $115.00 that's a $35.00 increase. Screw that.. I just pay general admission this year and enjoy it just as much without a $10.00 track lap.

Capncalyx 08-03-2012, 08:11 AM Not sure how you guys are seeing the price for next year. Is it in the packet somewhere? I could swear i paid the same this year as i did last year. IMS is probably trying to recoup what they are losing on the nascar race.
2 weeks out, almost here!

Be there with two others. It will be hard to find anyone there if it's like the past years. Line up and go, go , go. Hope to get another pace setter like last year. The old man was onto the track, around the first set of turns and once he hit the pit area he was gone!!! I didn't know a KTM Enduro could move that fast. Awesome ride on the track it was. Hope this years is just as good. I will have my GoPro on so hope to meet a few guys out there. See you in two days!!!

LouisZX10R 08-15-2012, 06:39 PM Donkey will be there with me... every day... I'll be in and out of the track all the time, but mostly hanging with some friends which will set up a Simoncelli memorial around turn 8/9 somewhere.

Ive heard that this isnt the first time theyve done the track lap but i could swear IMS is advertising it as the first year:dontknow:. So your saying there will be a ton of ppl there and they just line you up n turn you loose? Sounds like you got to rip around there at a pretty good clip - i thought it was a max 30mph speed limit but i just couldnt see that, hell our bikes idle at 30.:occasion1
UL, not sure if its yer first year but head down to the circle and youll see tons of that craziness and there should also be dyno pulls going til around 3am on Meridian. I could stand there all night listening to dyno pulls n drinking RB. There will be squids, for sure, but also tons of badass bikes. Cant wait:helmet:
BTW ya'll. Everyone be super careful this year! Something called GENCon is in town. Its a convention for people who love video games, anime, D&D and things like that i guess. So the streets may be swarmed with tons of those ppl (they like to dress in costume as well) so things could get interesting. Lots of foot traffic.
kabooki 08-16-2012, 09:46 AM You can take a lap for 40 dollars or is included with seated tickets, n ot general admission.
ecsiders 08-16-2012, 10:55 AM Paid the extra $20 to get the hot lap Friday night. They don't line up and let you lose though... There is a pace setter in the front and about 8 - 10 bikes behind him. You told not to pass and it's posted a 30 mph speed limit. The leader we had last year went through the first few turns around 30 mph but once we hit the straight away and through the pits he was gone. I was taking it all in last year but this year should be more fun!!! Hope to see some others from the forum out there. Downtown is always fun. I love all the bikes and love parking my bike for others to look at. The green LED's don't hurt to draw attention to my bike either!!! Can't wait for tomorrow!!!

URBAN LEGEND 08-16-2012, 07:48 PM Weather is depressing today. BTW the place is ghetto and dumpish.
glockt 08-17-2012, 12:35 AM this will be the 4th year of the track lap,
the very first year it was ran right before the pit walk-about.
the 2nd year it was run the monday after the Moto GP on sunday and you had to schedule your monday time slot.
the third year it was the friday before the Moto GP and you ran in whatever group you were staged in,like said earlier,it was a lap pacer on a KTM and our guy was gone from the get go.
this year they want to charge $20.00 or $10.00 if you bought into the package deal.No Thanks, what went for free in previous years they want to charge me $10.00.
It's a below sub par track most of the riders Hate it,multi surfaced slick at some points. No elevation, almost entirely FLAT.
Can't wait to see what the Texas track looks like!
Capncalyx 08-17-2012, 07:56 AM Ya i never expected much outta this road course when they started building it. Just have to take it for what it is. There is really only one good race for this track and its the 500. It just doesnt work well with any other type of racing or vehicle than open wheel. At least we have a motorcycle race close to us guys.
Really wish they would step it up on the food vending though - HORRIBLE!
Weather should be perfect all weekend.
We sure know how Stoner feels about it - he never shuts up about anything!
Capncalyx 08-17-2012, 11:38 PM Well, just got back from downtown Indy for the festivities after the track lap. Cool and crazy as always.
Came back to my one horse town that rolls up the streets at 9pm and decided to circle around town one time. I knew it would be trouble. Of course no one was out, except the cops. Tried really hard to stay close to the speed limit but i was barking the exhaust a little here and there and i just recently had it cut down a little. SO, i get pulled 50 yards from my house - im sitting there staring at my house while im fumbling for my registration. I told him i thought i was close to the speed limit and he was like "no no no, lol not hardly, you were WAY ahead of me, you took off." I said "well how fast was i going then cause thought i was doing close to the SL?" Told me he didnt have me on radar :) and i knew something was up when i got pulled cause i burst it just for a milisecond but i really wasnt speeding speeding ya know? Come to find out, he says the REAL reason he pulled me is cause of my pipe. He mentioned me revving it one time but jeez he was WAY back there when i did that :) and it wasnt even much - maybe 9K. Guess the shortened pipe is a bit louder. lol. He let me go on a warning. I thanked him and rode the next 100ft home. I live in a hardcore Hardley town and there are some SUPER loud ones so, go figure. Ya'll be careful, the popo are thick in Indy..but im sure they are cooler than my small town cops.

There was no challenge for the lead and the only partial racing i saw was around 4-10th or around there. First couple laps were great and Stoner's ride that day was impressive. I could say the same about your stretched/slammed gixxers comment i guess. Maybe this sport isnt for you if you cant handle the occasional slam and stretch. Hell, i was able to even appreciate a few Hardleys on the Circle Friday and Saturday nights, and there was a badass stretched 10r the parked next to me. I spent the entire weekend living this race staying on the circle until 1am and then getting to the track early the next day and the ONLY time i was bored was for the MotoGP race.

If you dont mind riding about an hour south of us theres some good stuff. Actually the way i ride, it wont take quite that long:wink:
I'll be everywhere except the track this year. Just too much of the same, same vendors, same everything n last year kinda bummed me out. So unless i find some killer deal on the race day, ill be everywhere but there. The festivities are great, they just arent that great around the track.
Heard Urban wants to come to the Brickyard nascar race too.:badteeth:
URBAN LEGEND 02-27-2013, 03:26 PM Heard Urban wants to come to the Brickyard nascar race too.:badteeth:
Critical thinking: if it doesn't rev to 18K then Urban cannot support event.
Motogp and F1 come to mind.
Capncalyx 02-28-2013, 07:53 AM ^^^^ some passing should be involved also. passing is a big no no in nascar.
Hell, i think people should come to race weekend just to go downtown to the circle. If you are ANY kind of bike person, the are ALL down there. Its like a mini bike week or something. All of Indy's sickest customs come out of the woodwork and not just sporties. Old style custom cafe's, stretched big tire bikes, lots of Hardleys actually, Rossi replica bikes for Urban, shit ive seen it all and its all badass. Last year some badass stretched n blacked out GenIII parked next to me all lowered with a nice pipe. Its painful when i go cause i dont stop walking, there is just too much to see and ill walk my friend to death. Bikes lined each side of the street and back to back down the middle of the street, parked inside and outside the circle - double parked in places. Its nuts. Last year was cool. Did a track lap and went straight down to the circle and parked before it got super crazy. Tons of super cool people, live music, girls handing out free Red Bull and they even have a dyno set up - i like to hang around there. Then there is the music of thousands of bikes riding around barking their pipes. Every now and then someone will bounce the rev limiter for a few seconds. Sounds nice echoing off the buildings inside the circle.
Can you tell im jonesing for warm weather???

nfranke 02-28-2013, 08:22 AM But yes southern Indiana has several hills and twisties. We even have our own ninja clan here in the Columbus area, we had 11 at one time that rode together

Not really that far unless you ride with Harley's...:crackup::crackup:
Some real nice roads towards Martinsville already and then beyond on old US37 to Bloomington or cutting through the "Park" halfway there. And after that... even more and better...

I've been told that NHRA has to be experienced to be understood. That those things shake the earth.

Dude, its the Hardleys that are always slowing me down around there. I passed a few of em one day and they met me at the BP in Nashville and i thought - 'fuk here we go' but they just wanted to chat and a couple had sportbikes. We bullshitted for a while and they were like "yea we were waiting for you to pass us, we know how slow we are". Surprised how cool they were. I lowsided out there on 135 just outside of Story - running haaaard. lol.

Heard that for years and finally went last year to the Natnls. We were down near the tree and i didnt think much of it until the first pass was made and it literally lifted my ass off the bleachers and my body involuntarily went into fight or flight for just a second. I thought God had finally come down to snatch my ass up and the skies were parting or something. Hooked instantly even though ive been following it since i was about 16. Some of the Mopars rattled my eyes in my sockets bad enough it was hard to see for a second. After a few passes found myself leaning into the bleachers just to keep my ass in the seat and out of sheer adrenaline. Its so worth it.
If anyone has ever been youll never forget that sound - BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you like the sound of MotoGP bikes, i know i do, its similar but different and just as good.

:+1:I thought the same of last year. Can't wait for this year!!!
nfranke 03-03-2013, 12:50 AM The unparalleled pit access makes it worthwhile as well.
Go by the top fuel or funny car test fires and get you a face full of nitro methane
I acquired a john force piston sleve amd had it signed within minutes

Yeah I know that road... can't wait to go that way again and further down...
ls1leadfoot 03-07-2013, 07:43 PM Hell ya story then catch 58 then 446 that's my road for sure I think
Safest, fastest, and long
Plus you can see into the opposite lane a good way unlike the blind corners on 58 and 45 lol
nfranke 03-08-2013, 06:16 AM You really have to watch 135, they overload it with sand when we get alot of snow, one of the guys i ride with, poisonivy i believe is his .net name, went down a few springs ago due to this.
I choose 56 over 135 that same day for that very reason

nfranke 03-08-2013, 06:27 AM 56 makes a nice loop with 7 and 350. For you indy guys it would be 65 to Columbus on to 7 to Madison from there 56 to Vevay from there either 156 to stay by the river and long sweepers or 56 to the top of the ridge and a more snake like road though the fields and farms. Next is onto Aurora where you can take 350 to 421 and back north or hit 50 back to 7 in north Vernon.
I do this several times a year, its a nice days ride unless your getting into it hard
